What we collect
Your email or phone number to sign you in; the photographs, captions and interview answers you give us to make a film; payment confirmation from Razorpay or Stripe (we never see card numbers); and basic usage logs needed to run the service.
How we use it
Only to make, deliver and support your film. Photographs are analysed to find the subject, choose framing and estimate dates. Face detection is used only for framing; no biometric template is stored and clustering output is discarded once the scene plan is approved. Interview audio is deleted as soon as you confirm the transcript.
Where it is processed
Storage and processing run on AWS in Mumbai (ap-south-1). Narration and music are produced by ElevenLabs. Story writing may use Anthropic Claude through Amazon Bedrock with cross-region inference, which is disclosed here. Vendors act only on our instructions.
Retention
Original uploads are deleted 30 days after delivery. Finished films stay available for the hosting period of your tier (12 or 24 months) unless you extend or delete them earlier. Deleting your account removes films, photos, assets and renders within 24 hours and we email you a signed confirmation.
Your rights
You can download, correct or delete your data from the Your films page at any time, or write to privacy@lifeinreel.com. You may withdraw consent for a film's subject at any time; the film is then taken down.
Children
Films about children are made only by a parent or guardian, who confirms this when creating the film. Public links for such films are passcode-protected by default.
